The brand might be called Desert Blue but that does not mean then only produce indigo jeans. They have a whole spectrum of colours available including these great pillar box red jeans worn by Fergie recently.
Here is one of the daftest denim trends I have come across recently - the gladiator tuck. This is where you are so proud of your new gladiator sandals that you have to tuck your jeans into your shoes to ensure everyone gets a good view of them. This look was apparently started by Sienna Miller back in 2005 but has only caught on recently with the likes of Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Bell giving it a go.
Here is a sneak peak from the April 77 Fall/Winter 2008/09 Collection. They are sticking with a variation on the signature skinny bleach/acid wash jeans look that they have been rocking for the last couple of seasons.
Bongo Jeans have replaced Kim Kardashian with Jesse McCartney in their new ad campaign. When I first read about this I thought they meant the guy who used to be the beefcake/gardener in Desperate Housewives but that is Jess Metcalfe. According to Wikipedia this Jesse is a singer/songwriter and actor who presumably is more well known to Bongo's target audience than he is to me.
Men's magazine Esquire has published a guide to denim which includes their recommendation for the best denim for different budgets, three ways to wear denim and an impassioned plea for the return of the unembellished pocket. The content is pretty mainstream as you would expect but it's still worth a quick look.
From now until April 30, 2009 Tummy Tuck Jeans will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for every time someone tries on a pair of jeans at Nordstrom. Not Your Daught's Jeans (who make Tummy Tuck Jeans) will donate a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000 to SGK.
Now if you ask me that is a pretty fantatastic things to do. A lot of companies announce they are donating proceeds to charity but then you find in the small print that they are only giving a small amount of their profits, which could actually turn out to be very little indeed. NYDJ though are going to be donating money before they have even made anything themselves. They are either very generous or they are pretty confident that after trying on their jeans the customer is going to want to buy them.
In case you hadn't heard of Tummy Tuck Jeans before, they are specially designed to slim the lower abdomen, contour the hips and lift the butt meaning they are great for women with real curves.
Just because Rachel Bilson is collaborating with DKNY Jeans obviously does not mean that she cannot wear any other denim brands. Here she is returning home after a day out in Beverly Hills wearing a pair of Citizens Of Humanity jeans.
