$2,000 Vintage Levi's 501 On eBay

lv2.jpg

Collecting Vintage Levis can be an expensive business these days as can be seen from this auction for a rare pair of 1950s Levi's 501s. The price has already been bid up to $1,999 with 4 days left to go. With measurements of waist 40, length 32 it's unlikely that they will even fit the person buying them. Imagine how much more they would go for if they were a more wearable size.

Ooh la love. $2000 denim isn't my cup of tea - I'm more for flapper frocks and 6" heels and vintage mink - but I'm totally digging how clothes are going antique; I adore having wearable wealth and investing in my wardrobe.

Thats a link to the 45rpm store, the sold out sizes are 36+, I'd bet the person that bought those does fit them, or is very close. The forums are made up of 30" waist guys, or it seems like it anyway, but there are a lot of thicker bodies out there that are into denim.
