I have managed to get my hands on something of a web exclusive - here are some never before seen photos of Kate Moss's new Calvin Klein Jeans ad campaign. After her recent drug problems she is back on top and even manages to make Calvin Klein Jeans look good.

April77 are based in France and have produced a very distinctive collection of denim that is inspired by late 70s punk and new wave bands. The jeans come in an ultra skinny fit and are designed to be worn with brothel creepers, a leather jacket and a quiff. April77's brand manifesto states that they dig The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and Motorhead but that they do not do fading, distressing or leather patches. To get away with a look like this you are going to need more than a little punk rock attitude.

The World Cup has reached the quarter final stage and England are still in it, so in celebration of this momentous sporting achievement I am going to post some more photos of celebrity footballers' wives Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Tweedy wearing denim shorts in Germany this week. We can only hope that England keep winning so that their other halves can continue this wonderful display of denim style.

I have been getting quite a bit of mail recently from people with denim related questions. I do my best to help out, but there is still lots of stuff I don't know about denim. So I thought I would open some denim forums where everyone could join in, if there is something you need to know about denim then you can post your question where everyone can see and hopefully someone will be able to help you out. The forums aren't just for asking questions though, if anyone has any comments or opinions relating to denim please feel free to leave them.

The kind of uniforms worn by fast food employees could hardly be considered fashionable, until now that is. McDonald's in Hong Kong is having their uniforms redesigned by Red Monkey Company - producers of premium denim that is favoured by the likes of likes of Jay Z. The new uniform will include jeans which have RMC's signature patterned logo on one back pocket and the McDonalds logo on the other. And if you want to get your hands on some of these jeans you are going to need to get yourself a job flipping burgers in Hong Kong, because they won't be available in the shops.

Tommy Lee (of Motley Crue and Pamela Anderson fame) knows a thing of two about marketing his personal brand. He's had a reality TV series or two and now he is onto the inevitable celebrity endorsed clothing line - People's Liberation for Tommy Lee. The collection includes skinny, straight-leg, super-low, and boot-cut jeans which feature back pocket designs inspired by the rocker's tattoos (see above). Apparently "when one purchases a piece from the line, they're also buying a piece of the rock-and-roll lifestyle" and here was me thinking that the rock and roll lifestyle was all about sex and drugs rather than something you picked up in the local mall.

My previous post concerned the popularity of denim shorts amongst the England Football Team's wives. Well it seems that this look is spreading like wildfire, in the past week both Kate Moss and Christina Aguilera were spotted in rock and roll type denim cut offs, whilst Linsay Lohan went for a more tailored pair of denim shorts.
