Celebrity Denim - Shorts

My previous post concerned the popularity of denim shorts amongst the England Football Team's wives. Well it seems that this look is spreading like wildfire, in the past week both Kate Moss and Christina Aguilera were spotted in rock and roll type denim cut offs, whilst Linsay Lohan went for a more tailored pair of denim shorts.

Celebrity Denim - Footballers Wives

If you are are one of the England football team's celebrity wives or girlfriends then there is only one look to be rocking at the World Cup in Germany and that is short, short denim shorts. Above are some photos of England Captain David Beckham's missus Victorian Beckham showing offer her skinny pins in some Rock & Republic denim shorts and below is England Defender Ashley Cole's pop star girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy sporting an almost identical look.

If You've Got It...

True denim addicts do not stick only to denim jeans.

I like to consider myself a true addict... And despite my ridiculous collection of denim jeans, I also have a ridiculous collection of denim shorts, denim jackets, I even have a few denim corsets (90's Dior and D & G) and of course the items that come second to my jeans... My denim skirts.

Spotting Fake Rock & Republic Jeans On eBay

If you are thinking about buying some Rock & Republic Jeans on eBay then you need to be sure you are buying the real thing. Luckily a guide has been produced which tells you which details to look out for to ensure that your jeans are the genuine article. Here are the top 3 tips, be sure to read the whole article before making your bid.

1) Labels: Newer Rock & Republics contain two inner labels. One is a size tag, the other is a care tag.
2) Hardware: All R&R hardware is engraved with the name, from the rivets to the buttons.
3) Outside Tags: There's usually three outer tags.

Celebrity Denim - Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is omnipresent these days and no blog worth its salt would be without a comment on the self-proclaimed "icon", so here is mine. I suspect that some money changed hand in order for Paris to be seen wearing these Genetic Denim Recessive Hydrogen Wash Jeans, I can't believe she actually handed over any of her her own cold hard cash for this pair of cheap looking faded jeans. Genetic Denim is not a brand I had come across before so I did a little research, their website takes the novel approach of not actually having any photos of the jeans they produce, instead there are photos of launch parties and profiles of the founders who are apparently "surrounded by Hollywood's A-Listers seeking the next hot trend" and can count Jay Z and P Diddy amongst their social circle. That was enough to turn me off, if you like you jeans designed by Hollywood hangers-on then Genetic Denim are the ones for you.

J & Company Jeans

J & Company Jeans are designed by Julien Jarmoune, who moved to California from France. He mixes influences from Europe and L.A. to create a collection of jeans with a vintage attitude and rock and roll style. He must be doing something right because his jeans are popular with Lucy Liu and Eva Longoria (see above) as well as Alicia Keys, Teri Hatcher and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
