More Celebrity Denim Shorts

More proof, not that any is really necesarry that denim shorts are only thing to be seen wearing if you are young, skinny and internationally famous. Both Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera have taken a pair scissors to some old jeans (or more likely had their stylists do it) to create great summery looking denim cut offs.

Expecting mothers everywhere prepare to become extremely jealous of Heidi Klum. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous and married to the Seal, but now she has managed to convince Scott Morrison co-founder of Earnest Sewn to create her a new pair of tailor made skinny jeans for each month of her pregnancy.

Kate Moss's Denim Hotpants

I could try to pretend that the above photo of Kate Moss on her way to a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig in London this week is another example of the summer fashion trend of the moment - denim shorts, but really it is just a opportunity to post a gratuitous photo of my favourite supermodel in a super skimpy pair of denim hotpants.

New Earnest Sewn Skinny Back Zip Jeans

Can't decide whether to buy yourself a pair of super trendy skinny jeans or go with a more reliable but less hip bootcut style? Then why not get yourself a pair of Earnest Sewn Back Zip jeans (available Oct 06) and have both styles in one. These jeans comes with a zip at the back of each leg to allow them to be altered from a skinny silhouette to a slightly boot flare. In her new style manual "That Extra Half Inch" Victoria Beckham states that she'd never team her flats with her signature skinny denim, for fear of looking "like a golf club". Now Posh Spice might not have too much in the way of discernable talent but she does know a thing or two about jeans, so I have to agree with her on this matter. To prove the point here is a selection of celebs wearing skinny jeans and looking hot, whilst their showbiz sisters wearing flats look kind of goofy. The only thing to beware of when wearing skinny jeans and heels is to make sure that you don't go too far and end up looking like a cheap 1980s hooker.

Nudie Jeans Autumn/Winter 2006 Collection

Nudie Jeans have now launched their Autumn/Winter 2006 Collection and it contains some pretty damn tasty looking jeans. The styles have remained the same apart from the addition of a new Long John cut which is very, very skinny and not for the faint hearted. The number of washes available has increased, especially amongst what I consider to be their signature look - dry denim (see above). I counted nine different types of dry denim including black, greycast, stretch and japanese selvage. As far as I am concerned Nudie (along with PRPS) are the only people outside of Japan making decent looking denim for men. If you haven’t already got a pair, do yourself a favour and get some now.
