Reese Witherspoon / Citizens Of Humanity

Apparently Reese Witherspoon is the second highest paid actress in Hollywood right now getting $15 million per movie. She is certainly a cutie pie and it is hardly surprising that her girl next door personna is a big hit with cinema goers. 7 For All Mankind were one of the brands which really kick started the premium denim craze and for a couple of years their distinctive looking jeans were everywhere. They are having no such problems with the emerging trend for high waisted jeans, these new Farrah Trouser Jean in Mercer provide a great looking alternative for fashionistas who are bored with their skinny jeans.

New J Brand Jeans Men's Line

jb1a.jpg jb1a.jpgjb1a.jpg
J Brand Jeans have had a great year, their women's jeans have been a massive hit and now to capitalize on that success they have launched a men's line. These jeans stay true to J Brand's principles of making simple, unfussy, classic looking skinny jeans. The men's collection goes from slim bootcut to straight leg to slim leg and is named after suitably iconic and skinny celebrities that were at their peak in the 1970s - Clint Eastwood (bootcut), Mick Jagger (staight leg) and Iggy Pop (slim). These are jeans that mean business, like the celebs they are named after. They are lean, mean and carry no excess weight - and if you are hoping to fit into a pair you had better make sure that you don't either.

Grey Ant Jeans

Yet more evidence that high waisted jeans are making a return comes courtesy of the "My Denim Sweetheart" photospread shot by Terry Richardson for the January 2007 issue of Vogue Japan. One of the brands at the forefront of this new trend is Grey Ant Jeans which was set up by Grant Krajecki who got his start costuming Hollywood stars These jeans are certainly not for the faint hearted and I cannot help but be reminded of the sartorially challenging world of 1970s mail order catalogues.
