Victoria Beckham Unveils New DVB Denim Label

After months of speculation Victoria Beckham has finally announced that her DVB lifestyle brand will be launching a new range of denim jeans, shorts and skirts in May. The DVB Denim collection will be a collaboration with Western Glove Works - the company behind 1921 Jeans and one of the oldest denim businesses in the world. Victoria's previous venture into denim was an extremely successful range of jeans produced in partnership with Rock & Republic.

The Slim Slack by American Apparel

American Apparel launched their first jean The Slim Slack late last year and created an interesting little blog to document the process. These unisex jeans come in a range of colours (yellow, purple, red and white) and are skinny enough to keep AA's hipster customers happy. The blog provides an interesting insight into the steps involved in designing and manufacturing a pair of jeans from scratch.

American Chi High-Tech Jeans

Have you ever seen kids wearing those shoes with little lights that flash when they walk? Well now an American company has decided that jeans might also benefit from the addition of flashing lights. American Chi has come up with a range of jeans containing light-emitting diodes woven into the back pockets that flash animated images of winking faces, wagging fingers and chattering teeth. Now I am a bit of a purist when it comes to denim and I'm afraid that the thought of adding batteries and lights to a pair of jeans is just sacrilige to me.

Celebrity Denim Trend - Grey Skinny Jeans

The celebrity denim trend for February 2007 is without a doubt skinny grey jeans. In the last week Christina Aguilera, Kate Moss, Mena Suvari and Lindsay Lohan have all been seen out in similar shades of denim. Levi's (Europe) 2007 Collection

Levi's (Europe) have launched a new advertising campaign for its 2007 Collection of men's and women's jeans. The campaign uses images of denim fashions throughout the last 100 years to demonstrate Levi's rich heritage, whilst at the same time showing that they are still down with the indie kids. The campaign includes a TV advert entitled "Dangerous Liaisons" and a completely redesigned website which will suggest an outfit for you according to the kind of music you listen to.
