Drew Barrymore Models New Look Jeans

New Look, the UK womenswear brand has launched a new collection designed by British Fashion Designer of the Year 2006 - Giles Deacon. Not only that but the collection has been modelled by Hollywood royalty Drew Barrymore who is seen above in a pair of boyfriend jeans which are available for the very reasonable price of £30.

There have been a couple of interesting denim related articles in UK newspapers recently. The Daily Telegraph had a report on the age old question of how to find the perfect pair of jeans for your shape, whilst the Daily Mail had a feature on the tailored denim that is available on Saville Row from the likes of Richard James, Gieves & Hawkes (see above) and Timothy Everest.

David & Victoria Beckham Denim Duo

Being on crutches doesn't stop David Beckham accompanying wife Victoria on a shopping trip in Madrid this week. He is wearing his favourite pair of PRPS Jeans whilst she looks every inch the fembot in her black polar neck and skinny Superfine Jeans.

Kuyichi Organic Denim

Kuyichi is a new organic denim brand named after the Peruvian god of the rainbow. Their goal is develop organic materials and ecological processes with contemporary and cutting edge styling. Kuyichi was founded in 2000 by Solidaridad, a non-governmental organisation set up in order to reduce poverty. Kuyichi buy organic cotton from Peruvian farmers who they encourage to become shareholders so that they may share responsibilities and profits.

This week's designer Q & A is with Paige Adams-Geller, the Founder of Paige Premim Denim.

1) Why do you think after 200 years jeans are still one of the most popular items of clothing?

I think jeans are still so popular today because they are so versatile. We can wear them just about everywhere! Dressed up, dressed down denim today is comfortable and lasts a long time. It truly is a staple in any wardrobe!

2) Last time I counted there were over 50 brands of premium denim jeans, what makes your jeans stand out from the rest?

I think that Paige premium denim is a stand out among the crowd because of its fit! There is truly a jean for just about any body type. The classic, clean look of Paige premium denim is not overpowering. You wear the jean, it does not wear you!
