William Rast To Show @ NY Fashion Week

William Rast have confirmed that they will be appearing at New York Fashion Week for the second successive season with a show at Bryant Park on Feb. 16th. The show will be presented by one of the founders Justin Timberlake, but don't get your hopes up that he will be performing because his spokesperson has already ruled this out to avoid any speculation.

Nicole Richie in Stella McCartney

Back in November, Nicole Richie stepped out in a military style denim jacket that no one could seem to ID. According to Celebrity Style Guide this month, the jacket is a Stella McCartney from seasons ago. Richie seems to be a fan of the denim jacket, as she recently commented at DKNY's Spring 09 show that there was a 'cute denim jacket' in the collection she 'couldn't wait to wear.' There was too much denim on DKNY's runway to distinguish which jacket was her fave, but my spring pick for her is this relaxed & swingy lightweight linen one.

Ksubi Fall/Winter 2008 Collection

The Ksubi Fall/Winter 2008 Collection was titled "Lest We Regret" and featured a selection of digitally printed and bleached denim (which they believe is their 'most eclectic to date') being worn by beardy/nerdy looking guys. (Source: SlamXHype)

Backstage At Balmain Show In Paris

My favourite catwalk show of the season was definetly by Balmain and luckily I have managed to find these backstage photos. This amazing collection features some uber-glam printed, layered and ripped denim which will no doubt have a big influence on the high streets in 2009.(Source: Frillr)

MeadhamKirchhoff Spring/Summer 2009

One of the highlights of London Fashion Week was the show by MeadhamKirchhoff which featured a striking selection of denim. The jeans on display were all heavily ripped, layered and textured with opened zips exposing flesh on some jeans and lacing hold other jeans together. All in all this is one of the most imaginative denim collections I have seen from and up and coming designer.

DSquared2 Spring/Summer 2009 Collection

The D Squared Spring/Summer 2009 Catwalk show featured supermodels Esther Cañadas, Fernanda Tavares and Nadege rocking some classic Charlies Angels poses, and the 1970s theme was continued with a selection of dark high-waisted jeans. The highlight of the show for me though were the his and hers three piece denim suits.
