More From Monarchy SS 2010!
We've gotten our stylish fingers on some more images from the Monarchy fashion show that Shannen Elizabeth, my boyfriend Kellan Lutz and my girl crush AnnaLynne McCord all attended. The Monarchy Collection has been working it's way up the fashion ranks in recent years. Eric Kim has produced a line that feels comfortable and that is chic on your body as it looks on the runway. This year is no exception. Kim's creations for the Monarchy Spring/Summer 2010 were stepped up a notch especially in the women's wear! The collection carried Eric's trademark relaxed fit, but still brought an edgy, sexy sharpness that I was not expecting. And while his collection did not have a common thread, Eric simply wanted to make nice clothes that people would actually want to wear, regardless if each outfit matched the next.
Lacoste Spring/Summer 2010 RTW
Denim on denim remained a presence in Lacoste's Fashion Week show for Spring/Summer 2010. Included in the collection we spotted lots of denim, from denim loafers to denim handbags and boyfriend-style jeans on the men - wait...what do we call them now that the boys wear them too? Either way, we love the relaxed look of this collection.
Elie Tahari Spring 2010 RTW

The Tahari Spring 2010 collection features dresses, tops and coats with romantic eyelets for women and combines neutrals like khaki, white and grey and uh-- the worlds most popular neutral ever-- denim! Unfortunately only a couple of pieces.

Helmut Lang Spring 2010 RTW

Die hard fans of Nicole and Michael Colovos' edgy designs for Helmut Lang have something great to look forward to! We told readers previously to expect a new denim-focused line for Spring 2010. Michael Colovos said, "We wanted to explore the notion of denim as a fabrication, rather than just basic jeans." Put bluntly, expect denim versions of classic Helmut Lang silhouettes sold under the same label but marketed separately. The to die for pieces: the biker vest, leggings, paneled miniskirt and the look above of course!
Antipodium Collection Spring 2010

Antipodium's Spring 2010 presented us with women of all sizes, opening with Andrej (a modern day Marilyn) and ending with the voluptuous Tokyo (ala Beth Ditto). When asked why he used real, tattooed and curvaceous women in his show, designer Geoffrey J. Finch replied: "Because they have brains. It's an interesting concept for fashion."
Although nothing too original, the clothing presented consisted of cute tarot print skirts, magical forest prints, simple bleached denim dresses, cargo pants and baggy denim jeans and shorts. These clothes are not going to change the fashion world, they're just perfect basics for spring through till summer.
Hervé Léger by Max Azria RTW Spring 2010

Hervé Léger by Max Azria's Fashion Week collection had a "second-skin bondage appeal" according to our friends over at WWD.com, and the indigo tie-dye and denim patchwork was to die for. Although often what we see on the runway are clothes that do not translate to what would be considered truly "ready to wear" by most of us, some of these pieces do!
