Celebrity Denim Icon 2006 - Vote Now

I thought it might be interesting to find out who the readers of this site thought was the Celebrity Denim Icon for 2006. When I say Denim Icon I mean the person who wore their jeans with the most style over the past 12 months. Seeing as this is my site I am going forget all about being impartial and cast the first vote for Victoria Beckham (seen above in a pair of Superfine skinny jeans). I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this one but I think that when it comes to her choice of jeans she always looks impeccable. The rest of her outfits might look like a little too much effort went into them but when it comes to denim she knows what suits her - skinny jeans tucked into high-heeled boots. Victoria Beckham To Sue Rock & Republic?

According to today's Sunday Mirror, Victoria Beckham (pictured earlier this week looking like Dracula in a black cape and skinny jeans) is threatening to sue Rock & Republic for whom she designed a range of jeans. A legal source is quoted as saying "Victoria Beckham's lawyers and accountants believe the range to have been far more successful than anyone imagined - and that Victoria is owed tens of millions of pounds." It is believed that Victoria is about to announce a deal with Western Glove Works Ltd (the family run business behind 1921 Jeans) to produce her own line of DVB branded jeans.

Reese Witherspoon / Citizens Of Humanity

Apparently Reese Witherspoon is the second highest paid actress in Hollywood right now getting $15 million per movie. She is certainly a cutie pie and it is hardly surprising that her girl next door personna is a big hit with cinema goers. Here she is looking every inch the yummy mummy in a pair of Citizen Of Humanity straight leg jeans. (Thanks for HauteGossip for the tip).

Buy Johnny Borrell's Skinny White Jeans

Johnny Borrell of indie rockers Razorlight is auctioning a pair of his very skinny white jeans on eBay in aid of CLIC Sargent which raises money to help fight children's cancer. These men's Whyred Jeans have been autographed on the back pocket and are a teeny weeny size 28 waist. The auction ends on Dec 11th and current bidding stands at £78.99.

Celeb Denim - Lindsay Lohan / Chloe Jeans

A couple of months ago I posted these photos of Kate Moss wearing some vintage Chloe Jeans. It seems like she isn't the only one that is swapping her skinny jeans for a pair of high waisted flares. I received the above photo of Lindsay Lohan in the same pair of Chloe Jeans from an eagle-eyed Denimology reader. For those of you who fancy getting a pair of these jeans I am afraid the bad news though is that Chloe are no longer making them. However the good news is that TopShop (the company Kate Moss is currently designing a range of clothing for) are selling this very similar pair for the bargain price of £40.

Celeb Denim - Simpson Sisters / True Religion

True Religion should give the Simpson Family shares in the company. Thanks to Jessica they must have received hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of free promotion courtesy of paparazzi shots in the gossip magazines and websites. And now with her sister Ashely getting in on the act True Religion are enjoying a double dose of celebrity endorsement. In the photo above Jessica is seen in a pair of Joey Black Stretch Big T in Light Grey whilst Ashely wears a scruffier pair of Johnny Big T in Easy Rider.
