There is something very nostalgic about the lookbook for new Australian label Dress Up. The pictures are hippie-ish in the most natural of ways and seem like authentic photos from that radical era. And indeed, the brand does stand for a cause. All of Dress Up's denim is made from lyocell, a wood pulp fiber that is eco-friendly to manufacture. Covetable pieces include the relaxed Jane Birkin-waisted jeans and the tough jean jacket with a shearling collar.

First Look: Screaming Mimi's 30 Year Jean

New York vintage mecca, Screaming Mimi's is celebrating their 30th anniversary with the only fashion item as timeless as the store itself: jeans. Called the "30 Year Jean," the jeans feature a high waist and exagerated wide leg as well as hidden anniversary embroidery where the inseams join. Conceived by Paper Magazine co-founder Kim Hastreiter and designed by ex-Heatherette associate Mack Dugan, the most dramatic detail, the 30 beltloops circling the waistband, signifies every year the shop has been dressing and inspiring fashion darlings like Alexander Wang, Chloe Sevigny, and Anne Hathaway.

Starting today the jeans are exclusively available in the New York flagship located at 382 Lafayette St.. They will also be available online at ScreamingMimis.com begining May 11 and at the seasonal Montauk store in the Hamptons beginning May 21.

In the next episode of Gossip Girl on May 11, 'No Doubt' will be appearing as the band 'Snowed Out'. Gwen Stefani will be wearing a pair of Levi's boyfriend jeans for the show... did girls wear Levi's like that in the 80's? Anyway, Gwen was also spotted out in public wearing those exact Levi's that she wore on the show. The special episode will introduce us to the Gossip Girl spin-off with Brittany Snow as the young Lily Rhodes. I am soooo excited to watch!!!
