Gucci's 2009 catwalk show in Milan was a colourful affair when it came to the denim. The jeans came in bright pinks and blues, as well as the more standard blacks and whitesand there was also a mod-influence displayed on the mutli-coloured striped jeans.

55DSL are a brand that I have overlooked here on Denimology. Here are some shots of the super bright new-rave multi-coloured jeans from their spring/summer 2008 collection.

The jeans on display at the D Squared Spring 2009 catwalk show in Milan were a lot smarter than they had been in the last few seasons. In fact some of the jeans were actually more like tailored trousers (see below), the highlight of the show though was a fabulous looking three-piece denim suit (see above).

Domino Jeans is a new fashion forward brand by established Canadian denim company Guido & Mary. Domino are not taking the enviroment for granted and where possible are trying to ensure their jeans are not ecologically harmful by using a chemical free dye and washing process. The denim is produced in Japan and then travels to Canada where the jeans are hand-crafted by in-house tailors. The end result is a range of slim-fitting jeans that are perfect for 2008 as they come in a wide range of colours including rich cobalt, lipstick red, mustard, cyan blue, plum, cement grey and teal blue.

I have always been partial to a pair of white jeans on guys (especially as worn by The Clash back in the 1970s), however this is a pretty difficult look to pull of unless you are on holiday somewhere hot. If you are attempting this look for the office then you are advised to check out the GQ guide to white denim for dudes.

I certainly hope Adrian Grenier has a good reason for the face fuzz - like maybe he is about to play Robinson Crusoe in some new movie. Anyway these photos were taken ins LA after he attended a Prince concert wearing a pair of Diesel jeans.

Here is a sneak peak at the dutch brand GSUS Fall 2008 collection. My favourite pair of jeans from the collection is this awesome pair of right on-trend acid wash jeans (shown above). In addition to regular indigo jeans they also have a good selection of colours including green, grey and black.

Here is something for fans of Japanese denim out there. Blue In Green, the specialists denim (and online) store in New York is now stocking Evisu Japan #2000 No.1 Denim jeans. One of the great things about these jeans is that for those of us who like their branding kept subtle Evisu have decided to lose the usual gulls wing pocket detailing. (Source: IndividualSole)

Each season the Diesel Denim Gallery produces a selection of limited edition pieces to "trigger the lust of denim addicts worldwide". This season they made a pilgrimage to Okayama, Japan (the mecca of denim production) in order to get two very special jeans made. The denim was dyed using natural indigo then woven using hand shuttle looms using single continuous threads to produce a tighter, heavier and more durable fabric. These jeans are available in pure indigo (see above) or a washed version with yellow overtones (see below), feature a label stating "Handcrafted in Okayama, Japan" and come in a delicate rice paper bag.
