Levi's Japan "Skeleton Hands" Jeans

levis_1.jpg
I wonder why it is that the jeans produced by Levi's Japan is always so much more interesting than what is produced by Levi's in the US and Europe. Here we have a new pair of 505 jeans which feature a stencil of a pair of skeleton hands below the pockets. This might not be to everyone taste's but at least Levi's Japan are trying to do something different.

Unsuprisingly Justin Timberlake has been talked into appearing in an ad campaign for his own brand of William Rast jeans. The campaign comprises a movie style posters (see below) featuring Timberlake and model Erin Wasson as lovebirds/criminals on the run from the police, as well as a web-based documentary that will be available at williamrastmovie.com.

Paul Smith Spring 2009 Catwalk Show

paul_smith_1.jpg
The jeans the appeared in the Paul Smith Spring 2009 catwalk show were all baggy, faded and rolled-up to give them that - I am just off for two weeks in Spain look. They actually remind me of the kind of jeans George Michael used to wear with a pair of espadrilles back in his early 1980s Wham days.

J Crew Painted Selvedge Jean

jcrew1.jpg
Following on from yesterday's post about APC's "Butler Worn Jeans" here is another example of distressed jeans this time from J Crew. These "Painted Selvedge Jeans" have been "hand splattered" with paint to give them that "just finished painting the spare room" look that you have desperate to achieve. Now if J Crew were as smart as APC instead of spending hours making these jeans they would have just given them to some painters and decorators to wear before selling to achieve the same look.
