It was only a matter of time before someone came up with the idea of producing a coffee table book about premium denim and charging a premium price for it. Denim Legends is produced by the people at We Are Magazine and costs the best part of $1000. It features some great photos of vintage and premium denim but I am not sure that it quite warrants the mind-boggling price tag. If you don't have that kind of cash you could always just read Denimology for free instead!

I love this gloriously unsubtle ad from the 1970s for a brand called Jesus Jeans.

Denim accessories often just end up looking somehow wrong but this messenger bag from Evisu makes a nice change from the usual leather or canvas ones out there.

The Idependent has an article by Fred Pearce who travelled to Bangladesh in search of the people that were responsible for making the pair of Blue Horizon jeans he bought for £9 in Marks and Spencer. His findings are not as straightforward as you might imagine because although the working conditions are difficult they are still an improvement on the alternative of working in paddy fields.

I have decided to reopen the Denimology Forum for everyone our there that wants to discuss denim related matters. The original forum had to be closed down because it got clogged up with ads for Viagra, however this time I am using more sophisticated software which should hopefully weed out the spammers. Why not pop over there now and introduce yourself.
