Dakota Fanning in Vintage Dittos

Dakota_Fanning_Dittos4_SG.png

Dakota Fanning spent her weekend working on The Runaways seen here filming in Los Angeles wearing vintage bellbottoms. This pair is by Dittos, with the pintuck and signature pocket of the iconic brand. The 70's never seem to go out of fashion. My prediction is that we'll see a massive wave of 70's style once young girls flock to see this film.

Shia LaBeouf wears what appears to be a vintage Levi's Denim Jacket as he departs from Los Angeles International Airport in California on Wednesday. Speaking of Shia, have you seen Transformers 2 yet?

Dakota Fanning is Cherie Currie

I might as well buy my ticket to The Runaways now because I can't believe the transformation Dakota Fanning has made for her role as Cherie Currie. Wearing a denim jumpsuit (I can forgive the Ugg slippers for walking around onset) she is embodying the iconic lead singer from head to toe.

Chloë Sevigny in Levi's Shorts

ChloeSevignyLeviis4.jpg
Big Love actress and fashionista Chloë Sevigny hosted the launch of "The Nightlife Preservation Community" in New York wearing Levi's cutoffs. The event which had some of the best DJ's in the city on the 1's and 2's, aims to bring together the nightlife industry to lobby in the upcoming elections so politicians take the issues affecting nightclubs seriously. Those are some seriously short shorts!

Current/Elliott Launches Deadstock Line

deadstock08.jpg

It's been a year now since Current/Elliott hit the denim scene and helped change the trends towards a more relaxed, distressed style of jeans. Now for fall, they are introducing "Deadstock", a new collection under the Current/Elliott label, inspired by vintage jeans from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Deadstock will hit a mere 80 stores in July - including Neiman Marcus. The women's line will consist of ten styles, including a skinny, wideleg, and of course, a boyfriend version, while the men's collection has six styles. They will be made from Japanese denim and available in three washes: dark, classic and a faded "true blue". While the new collection will have a different look, it still maintains that super luxe soft feel of Current/Elliott's denim.

"[Real] deadstock is a little stiff and sometimes not as flattering on the body," said Elliott. "We cheated a bit."

And here's a bonus - the new collection will be priced slightly less than Current/Elliott's main line. Can't wait to see more!

More photos of Current/Elliott's Deadstock line after the jump!
