Miner49er Grand Opening Nov 15th

Miner49er is a great new vintage denim-worshipping concept shop in San Clemente, CA. The retailer, which occupies a historic 1920s building, features a permanent museum dedicated to the history of denim, and will carry selvedge denim by LA's Denim Design Lab and Montreal's Bzen. All the jeans sold are woven on vintage shuttle looms in the spirit of recreating the simple and durable workwear of California's original Gold Rushers - to which Miner49er owes its inspiration and namesake. Inside the store, jeans hang from rafters while old mining tools and photos cover the walls.

1890s Levi's For Sale On Ebay

A super rare pair of original 1890's Levi Strauss 201 jeans are currently for sale on eBay and the price stands at nearly $25K with 2 days still to go. The jeans (which were authenticated by Lynn Downey, Brand Historian at Levi's) were found in a miners cabin in Montana and come complete with the original dirt, wax, spider webs, splinters and gold dust. The last time a pair of jeans this old were auctioned online they went for $36K so expect to see the price go a lot higher in the next 48 hours.

J Brand jeans are certainly popular with the stars of High School Musical. Earlier this week Vanessa Hudgens wore a pair of ‘Bardot’ high waist skinny leg jeans and now Ashely Tisdale has been snapped in a pair of J Brand's Marrakesh wide leg jeans whilst promoting the new movie at the Rome International Film Festival .
