Red Engine is a brand that has not been featured too much on Denimology, so after they got in touch I figured it was the least I could do to address that problem and let everyone know about their current collection. Red Engine was started in 1999 by Jim Boldes who was previously the vice president of production at Guess throughout the Claudia Schiffer and Anna Nicole days. This family run brand is now stocked in over 600 stores and has celebrity fans including Jessica Simpson (see below). As you can see from these photos Red Engine is positioned as an authentic vintage-inspired all American brand, it is not their intention to follow trends but instead to produce classic great fitting jeans.
Vanessa Hudgens loves J Brand jeans so much that on a recent trip to New York to promote her new movie High School Musical 3: Senior Year she wore them on four separate occassions.
I know Denim Shorts Week was last week on Denimology but there is just no escaping them these days. At Glastonbury last weekend there was only one thing to be seen in and that was a pair of denim shorts - preferably high-waisted.
55DSL are a brand that I have overlooked here on Denimology. Here are some shots of the super bright new-rave multi-coloured jeans from their spring/summer 2008 collection.
Fidelity Denim is continuing its support of the charity Rethink Breast Cancer with the Fall 2008 release of the Hyacinth BC "Forever In Our Hearts" jean. The denim is a deep glossy blue "viper" wash and the jeans feature 24karat hardware such as brushed gold rivets and "Rings of Love" charms which hang from a belt loop. For each pair of this limited edition run of only 500 jeans sold 10% of the proceeds go to Rethink. So if you are after a tasty pair of jeans and want to do you bit for breast cancer then these are the jeans for you.
Audrina Patridge is becoming quite a regular on this site, I guess she must be getting sent quite a lot of free stuff these days as she always seems to be wearing different brands. In these photos of her bowling she is wearing a pair of Karmel & Alden’s “Denielle” jean in yellow.
